Has anyone bought a scan gauge or ultra gauge that can read a digital pyrometer?

Or is it only possible with the dial gauge style?

+1.

There's no sensor for EGT in the car, so the ECU doesn't cater for it. Because of that, none of the ECU query tools like those you mention can read the information.

Jaycar sell a kit for about $90, but make sure you get the LED display version and not the LCD version. You will need to drill the exhaust either in the manifold or in the dump pipe. You'll also need to insulate (electrically) the thermocouple from the exhaust which is an electrical ground (negative).

Im just not a fan of cheap and tacky looking products from jaycar/ gauges all over the dash. ill have to keep looking.

Cheers

you can keep looking but you wont find an ecu reader like you mention to give you an EGT, and with the engine not having a sensor.

Autometer are not cheap looking nor cheap for that matter...do a search on here for EGT gauges...plenty on here and take your pick....what about a pillar pod to neaten things up since you dont like gauges all over the place.

2011 models have curtain side airbags which sucks a$$ for that haha might see if I can mould something into the roof console... cheers
