My left hand half shaft seal started leaking recently. I replaced the whole bearing with one from Goldwagen for approximately R440.00. Just after fitting the new bearing set, the seal started leaking heavely again. I took the bakkie to a trusted mechanic again and we took out the half shaft and saw that it has a almost not recognizable little groove where the seal must have shaven it off over time. I only got 195000 on the clock so far. But i don't know what the previous owner did in the 175000 that he had it. We fitted a new seal to the half shaft and now it still leaks but less than previously, but it still leaks. Nissan quotes me R30000.00 for one new half shaft. Do you guys know of any alternative measures like aftermarket or refurbished parts?
