20k?? jesus christ...surely the ESC should be suffice..if not then u must be doing some serious offroading!! which D40 isnt designed for.

Yep, fair enough.

There is a thread on here somewhere about doing a Solid axle swap on a D40.

I considered it and found a Jeep Dana looks like a possibility but you would have to do the rear too to match diff ratios.

Doing everything yourself I reckon it would cost around 10-12k. I think the company that does Hilux's charges 20K

Yep, spoke to my mate about doing SAS on the D40, he said that he could get it done and it would cost about $10k but he could match with rear so you wouldn't need to touch the rear. They just finished a Hilux, the bloke paid around $11k. At $20k they must be going for early retirement. I think Nismo4x4 is right though. The D40 isn't really designed for hardcore offroading.

ill take one if its $1500 or less. 100% ready and waiting.
