D22 tub on a D21

Saw in town today a 92 Navara dual cab, blue in colour, sporting a white tub, with a 3.0 TDi Turbo sticker on the back. Now, obviously not an original tub.

Are the D22 and D21 tubs generally interchangeable, or is some modification needed to get them to fit?

Interchangeable, but the body and tub profiles won't match

BUT, my tub is rusting in a few spots, and I've got a mate with a brand new D22 who wants to replace his tub with a tray...
