hi all i have just made an adapter kit (im a boiler maker )and put a t25 turbo on my nav rat i also put a front mount intercooler on and a 3" straight through exhaust turbo back i have test drove it today and it didnt go that good so i checked boost and it would only make 3 to 4 psi from 2200rpm to 3200 rpm then it spikes creaps up to 8psi at like 4200 so i put a manual boost controler on and at full ajustment it still only makes bout 5 psi under 3200 and 10psi at 4200 so wat im asking is has any one done this mod and had this problem any help would be great thanks guys :wash_truck:

Adjust the wastegate to give it more pretension on the swing valve and see how that goes.

If its not being held shut properly even with a manual bleed valve it will never make boost properly.

Also, what size is the turbo?

ill try that today mate thanks and its a t25 like the standard one off a sr20det motor

hi again tryed to ajust the wastgate only made the boost change by about 1 psi
maybe the turbo is to big if any one has any info on the biggest turbo that u could put on thye nav that would help thanks

i would be checking sensors/wiring sounds like it not putting the fuel in to spool it up .have seen td27s with t25 running around 20 psi-also seen yd25 with gt2860 that worked well hope you sort it out good luck

ill do that over the weekend mate thanks would it matter where i tap the boost sensor in on the intercooler piping as i put it near the throttle body should it be closer to the turbo

YD25 Turbo problems?

have You tried checking the injectors?
alot of underpowered injectors cause the navara to struggle going uphill wont go above 50mph?

8 psi is nothing...

The factory turbo should be hitting 1 bar or more (14.7+ psi)

Honestly, unless you're going to redo everything, you're way more likely to loose power (as you describe) than gain power by bolting on a different turbo... the reason?

Diesels are fuel limited not air/oxygen limited.

Hey mate. I have a custom t25 on my QD32 and it runs bloody awesome.
Come onto boost around 1300 and hits 9psi (what i have it set at) by 2700.
It would pay to find out what the AR on the rotors are and see if they suit your motor.
If you could post what motor you have and what mods you have done that might be helpful as well.
I cannot remember the exact AR of mine but I think it is something like 43 exhaust and 50 compressor.
