Ok, I know that nearly everyone who has a non lifted D22 will have had this same problem: you go 4wding, get home and start cleaning. Start hosing underneath and discover a huge clump of grass/weeds hanging from the factory bashplate. So you start hosing in behind the bashplate only to find huge clumps of clay and dirt that has been packed in there super tight. So now you start digging it out, by this time you're thinking " I really need a hoist to do this properly" but hey, you don't have one so you are soon soaking wet covered in the mud you have just removed from your pride and joy. You eventually clean most of it out.

I'm seriously thinking of modding this to stop my Nav from bulldozing the tracks.I'm not sure if it can be removed, possibley not but would it be possible to fit a bashplate infront of it? What has everyone else done to fix this problem?

It's doing my head in.

i now have a tjm shaped mud collector =)

Not really an issue for m now with the aftermarket plate.

The first time i hosed out the underneith of my stockone i spend about an hour digging all the sh!t out...

Was glad to see the stock one gone.

Yeah, I suspected that would be the case. I'll add that to my list of accessories my Nav needs.

Thanks.

I put my TJM one on and removed the stock one. Could have left it in no worries but was doing some work in that area and had it off and cbf putting it back on. The TJM plates cover that area well anyway! Now I need to make a new one from the TJM front sump to the ARB bull bar as the skid plate from ARB that came with the bar was flimsy as hell and was all bent Looking to make a nice plate with a custom etching in it :)

only the other wk i went 4wding and i had the same problem i pulled the front bash plate off and i had 3 shovel fulls of clay that i had to be in the wheel borrow to take away

Yeah, it's definately not the best design and it can't be good for the front diff/suspension having that much dirt forced into that area.

the last 4wd trip i did i ripped my stock plate right off
got stuck on a wash out then when i reversed off it the plate grabbed on to the rocks and just bent and ripped it off lol
now im getting irom man ones
