The bends towards the rear of an exhaust apparently make a big difference to how it sounds ive been told. Dont know how true that is

thats the hotdog i put in
and no i dont have a cat just straight pipe till the hotdog which use to be a muffler but hotdog replaced it
Just go straight through it wont be that much louder than just having a hotdog in there depending on what hot dog is in there. Also do you have a cat converter in the sysytem if so how restrictive is it. Do you have a snorkel not that it should really matter but i get a slight turbo spool whistle just through the snorkel with standard exhaust.

Just get rid of it and whack on a 3" system.

I have a Tipan 3" system and it sounds great. Also as said before the snorkel adds quite a bit of "turbo noise"

I've got a 3" system on my 2.5, new dump and a high flow cat with no mufflers, sounds amazing and has a massive turbo whistle with no drone on the highway...... will put a vid on youtube and post it at the end of the wk when I am home from work

is the hi flow cat in your dump pipe?

Nope, the dump pretty much goes straight into the cat, Ive got a 2" body lift so after the cat there's not to many bends to the end of the pipe, almost none...... If you look through my back wheel arch you can see where the system ends, about half a metre sorter than standard
