Hey everyone just wondering if anyone knows of anyone putting reduction gears in a 08 d22 2.5L nav? Got a fair bit of weight in the truck now and picking up a lot of speed when descending hills anyone got any ideas? Cheers :)

unless ur running bigger tyres ie 33's plus i think youll find the available reduction gears too low.

mine were rockhoppers but afaik the company no longer exists. Snake sells Calmini's reduction gears and off the top of my head they only come in 83~% reduction. Altho i think locktup might also be offering reduction gears now?

When i got mine both were around the $1500 mark. To me they were great value as they gave me total control over the 35's. Unless you like rock crawling id spend your money else where.

Thanks for the heads up think I'm gonna see how it goes next trip getting it chipped and 3" exhaust at the moment so could be strapped for cash for a while I'm thinking next trip might try and take some weight out see if that helps the steep declines.

Quick question, are you talking about diff reduction gears or are you talking about reduction gears in the transfer case got a bit confused when you said "both were around the 1500 mark"?
