Hey guys, sometimes my Bogaard plug n play turbo timer doesn't work as it should.

Usually pretty good, but every once in a while it doesn't hold in and time out, it just shuts the engine off as soon as I turn the key.

Doesn't make a difference if the air con or lights are on or not, the power windows are being put up or I reverse in or drive straight in to a car park, it just randomly doesn't work every once in a while.

Anyone else found this with theirs? Found a solution if so?

Or just return it and have it replaced (it's only a few months old)?

Cheers

Check the earth wire. If that's all good then I would definitely send it back for an exchange as mine has worked flawlessly for ages..

Oh and btw. It has a safety function that will let you switch it strait off if the motor has not been running for more than 30 seconds. Its in case its accidently started in gear. So I am assuming you mean after it has run for some time..

Pretty sure I got a good earth. It's earthed to the same surface under the dash that my spotlight relay, ARB style illuminated "Spotlights" switch, and gauges are earthed to (not stacked up, but lugged and earthed separately), and all that gear never has an issue.

Will disconnect it, re-lug it and reconnect it and same with hand brake safety just to be sure. I knew you had to run it for 30 seconds before it would work, but yeah I did mean after I had driven some distance.

As it's a random thing even once I've check/re-terminate the earth it might happen tomorrow or it might happen in 2 weeks so will keep you guys posted. Cheers

******* of a thing still does it. I've narrowed it down to the plug form the remote timer head to the relay/main unit. Sometimes the engine turns off and the thing is still flashing/timing, sometimes it's not working at all and sometimes it just works normal.

Will give it back to Bogaard and have it replaced/repaired under warranty.

Sometimes, and I mean very very rarely Ill get to work and park my car and someone will come in 10-15 mins later and tell me my cars running. I think mine keeps forgetting what number its up to when its counting down and has to start again.
