Air inlet

I've never looked, but where is the air inlet pre air filter/cleaner located in the D40???

Not 100% sure bout on Diesels but on the petrol its from inside the left front guard. Am pretty sure the Diesel is the same

That is of course assuming you don't have a snorkel fitted...

Where abouts exactly, do you know? Sometimes they're right behind the headlight, sometimes they're up a bit higher.

I'm heading up into flood territory and have no snorkel.

The only thing that kinda looks like a pre-cleaner on my 08 st-x, is moulded to the front of the air box. What type of snorkle do you have??

the factory airbox pulls air from inside the passenger side front guard. Basically if you pull the inner plastic guard off, you will see where the airbox pulls in air.

if you do not have a snorkel, I would not want to be in water that is anywhere near the top of your wheel...
