Are we likely to get ten cars ?
BTW I know of some really good camping spots, definitely not for caravans though! Only problem is it's been a while and I'd probably have to drive around for a day to find them!

IMO any more then 10 starts to make for a long slow day but what does everyone else think?? 15??

I think we look at 10, if we end up with a few more on the list that would be ok, most of the time a few will drop due to any number of reasons which will bring us back to a good number any way.

We might tent it instead, or we might just call it a bloody long day. I've done those before - 4:30am start, 10:30pm finish (driving the whole time).

If the camping areas are busy I don't think I'd feel comfortable with my gear unattended. We could set up our tent in no time flat and I've got the awning now so we could pitch under that.

Both your suggestions are as good as any. Bungleboori would be my pick being central to all the likely tracks we'll be doing. Tony shouldn't have too much trouble getting the van in there unless it's been raining a lot, then the road no matter how well graded will be slippery. Then I would guess next to the pub would be the go!

If you're capable of driving from QLD then you'll do alright on the tracks!! You'll need rated recovery points front and rear as a minimum and at least a set of all terrain tyres, though road tyres can get you through with a bit of effort (unless it's wet). From memory, there are plenty of "chicken" tracks so if you're not comfortable then there is usually a way around.

You probably should throw the swag in, it's not advisable to be driving home late afrter a few beers

I dont think that would be a problem at all mate, as i said if we end up with 12-14 on the list i would say 8 - 10 will end up actually coming.

Hey, ill pitch a tent for the night i`m too lazy to drive all the way back to Sydney plus i may llok around some more on Sunday.
I agree with Nath at not capping as people always drop off for one reason or another, especially at this time of year. plus more the merrier.
As i said i was there on Saturday and it was fun escpecially if its been or is wet, will be more fun knowing i have people to rescue me if/when i get stuck.
id suggest you bring your cameras as there is some great scenery there too.
I`ll try and secure a new BBQ and bottle for Dinner/breakfast/Lunch it wont be huge but anyone will be free to use it.

Done ill drop into BBQ galore this week and see what they have in the way of camping setups, i need something that doesnt take too much room but provides an adiquate hot plate and grill.
Well have to grab some eggs and bacon too, anyone know where we can buy some Halal bacon?? Just so we can cover everyones food requirements.
