That's tough, we'd need a little more info.
What is the cause of the hard starting? Is it a battery that's on its way out? When you say "jumped", does that mean with jumper leads or putting it in gear and dropping the clutch as the car is rolled down a hill or towed behind another car?
Were there any sounds before the car stopped the last time? When the engine started, did it feel smooth and respond well to throttle input? Did it feel like it had a lack of power? Did you notice if the alternator light was on while the engine was running? Have a look at the back of the radiator, has the fan started gouging out the radiator?
Don't go starting it again just yet - we need to try and narrow down the possibilities. It might just be one cylinder isn't working right, it might be a slipped timing chain (stretched chain, broken teeth etc). Several answers needed before we can narrow things down.
How far away is a mechanic, or a friend who can check things like crankshaft pulley movement?
