In response to your question regarding Total Care Seven Hills...yes I would recommend them not the cheapest place around but the owner (forget his name) know's his diesels! Have you hooked diagnostics up to it? Maybe reading the fuel rail pressures etc..would give you a few hints???

My 2011 spanish D40 threw a code (torque app said it was EGR) a couple of months ago...straight into Nissan and replaced under warranty no questions...also have another niggling problem with what sounds like the fan belt squeaking when it is cold...?????

Same issue with mine 2011 STX, engine light come on but no limp mode...scan tool check - EGR sensor - straight into Nissan, replaced faulty EGR sensor no questions asked and even detailed my car for me :rock:

Did you use scotch locks? Sometimes they can corrode and cause all sorts of dramas, get your test light out and follow the power....that's what I would do...

Depending on much draw your LED light bar sucks I would run a new line straight from the battery through a relay. I know its a lot more work but it's probably the safest way
