    Cruise control installation

Sorry I didn't get back to you mate, had a look but mine is a zd30 model with "Command CM21R" cruise control. A different brand and I couldn't find a pink wire anyway. So not much help sorry.

    Cruise control installation

If no one sorts it in the meantime, can have a look at mine tomorrow and see if I can make sense of it. A bit cold and dark at the moment.

    Brakes semi stuck on .

Was it the master cylinder making the noise, or the brake booster? It's normal afaik to have occasional weird noises from the booster (at least mine has always done this) as it can remain in vacuum for quite a while after driving it. Haven't you already changed the master cylinder? Could there...

    Brake vacume nightmares.

Not sure about other check valves, but I know there's one in the hose near where it joins to the booster itself (at least on mine there is).

    Brake vacume nightmares.

Correct. Air should be able to flow towards the pump. This manual, while not specifically for your model, nevertheless gives some ideas about symptoms and testing procedures for brake components.

    Strange clutch issues

It should like that oil, sounds like the old stuff had water in it? What type of noise you getting? A squeaking, low rumbling noise, something else? If you're sitting there idling in neutral, does it change when you push the clutch in?

    Brake vacume nightmares.

Agree the symptoms are more like it has, or is getting, air in the lines. Could be many reasons for that, but also for whatever reason some D22's seem to be a pita to bleed properly. Never had that problem but I know others have. I didn't think any of the zd30 models have abs (in Aus at least)?

    River Crossings and Cattle.

That'd be fair enough in a cattle grazing area though. In the more popular and easier to access areas in this region (that are on the edge of state forests where cattle are allowed to graze) there were cattle in some of the camping areas. They were no problem at all. In the end I decided to go...

    Rear light

ps. Notice in another thread you have an '05 with VIN starting with "JN" (manufactured in Japan) model. My '04 model has the same light as yours so no idea what that light they sent you fits. Perhaps they got it wrong and it fits a different or later model? Someone with later model might have a...

    Rear light

What year model ya got? If you scroll down in your link to OEM part numbers and compatibility, it says this part fits D22 models from 2/'98 - 12/'10. So perhaps there are variations depending on year? Is yours later model than that?

    River Crossings and Cattle.

Yeah, have been out a couple of times since. No critters to speak of, just the usual drop bears, yowies, big cats and so on...the normal mundane stuff lol. I notice the tracks around the place are suffering from our extended wet weather though (that hopefully is over now). There has been a long...

    Strange clutch issues

ps. 1. I think it might be normal for swishing noises in a master cylinder. Haven't particularly listened for any but would be surprised if there wasn't, due to the way they work. 2. 1st gear can be a bit stiff on mine till it warms up (which I put down to age at 400k kms). It's not bad or...

    Strange clutch issues

There is a trap when installing the thrust bearing on these. It's not immediately obvious but it's possible to put them in 180 deg out which will look right but doesn't allow the bearing retainers to pivot properly on the fork. This causes all sorts of wear and all sorts of seeming clutch...

    clutch slave cyl help ??

Just fill the reservoir up and get someone to push the pedal, holding it to the floor while while you open the bleed valve. Then close valve and lift pedal back up. Continue until there is no more air in it (keep checking the reservoir has enough fluid in it or you'll suck air into the master...

    clutch slave cyl help ??

Did you bleed the air out after changing it? There might be air in the cylinder or in the line?

Not turning over (lost all electrics)

Here's a link to the relevant part of the manual with the schematics.

Not turning over (lost all electrics)

PS. There's a 10A fuse in the fuse block in the cabin (marked no.11) that goes to gauges and alternator light. If that's blown it'll jump start, but your alternator might not work (and the light won't illuminate to let you know this). So you would have no gauges and your battery will keep going...

Not turning over (lost all electrics)

Too dark at the moment to bother with pics, but it tells you on the fuse/relay box cover. Which is on the drivers side of the engine bay rearward of the battery. It says something like "FL Battery 80A" (FL being a fusible link). There are only two 80A fusible links in there (one for glow plugs)...

    Fuel hose specifications

Had a look at a small leftover piece laying around from when I replaced mine. It says "9.5mm high pressure fuel injector hose" which is strange because it also says "made in USA" (thought they were too backward for the metric system). It might be overkill but from memory I just grabbed what was...
