Hello!

So this is my first tread on this forum so please don`t tear me a new one if i`m not doing this right! :deadhorse:

But anyways here`s my problem. It seems that the combustion pressure from the cylinder is escaping through the copper washers on the injectors, and dragging oil with it through the engines breather, and into the intake, making the exhaust smell absolute Sh**! :dizzy:(Unburnt Oil smell ooor Ubrunt diesel? Very sour) Letting it idle for a minute and as soon as you touch the pedal white/blue smoke pours out then stops after a few seconds at driving rpm, just like its residue that is accumulating somewhere and then is blown out when the RPM goes up, thereby burning it. :stupido3:

Suspecting that the Combustion leak is at the injectors, is because the O-rings on all 4 injectors have this weird "lip" on them like a small part is pushed out from its slot. All outwards towards the Valvecover. (Will Post Picture) Like pressure from the cylinder has pushed past the washers and into the valvecover.
This happened after i changed the top on the car after a blown headgasket, Changed the top because the old one was Absolutely STUFFED with residue and Pure Gunk from the EGR.
I was Using the nissan Shop manual torqued everything accordingly... New washers as well. Changed O-rings. And the problems started...
Found the twisted O-rings, and tried again changing the Washers and O-rings once more, but the exact same thing happened. :pissedoff:

So the Question is, have any of you experienced this? Does my theory make any sense? AND do any of you have a fix!? :)

The car is an 2003 Mod, Nissan Navara D22 with The YD25Di
Engine has been changed and has rotated 170 000km.

I am Very thankful for any help or guidance i can get!

may pay to ask on the UK navara forum.
the non-common rail yd25 is not all that common down under. its common in europe.

If the o-rings are twisting when you are fitting them I'd suspect they need to have some form of lubrication prior to having torque applied to them. Is there anything in the manual that says anything about that?

Thank you all for the reply`s, but links provided is about Diesel leaking from the injectors, That is NOT one of the problems, The problem is that After mounting the injectors with O-rings lubed in oil, and new Copper washers, Combustion pressure seem to run past all 4 injectors copper washers, therby pushing out the O-rings, filling the injectors "space" with oil. Then the pressure in the Engine breather coming from the valve cover is quite high, dragging oil trough the intake system. :(
