Interesting thread, thanks for bumping it. As mentioned by a few, the SMF clutches are noisey and viby. Have a factory fitted SMF in my (Thai built) King Cab. So I can personally vouch for this. I have driven a DMF D40 back to back with mine. So easy to spot the difference.
I get the vibes between 17~1800 RPM either side of this it's fine. One thing thou there is more rollover noise in the box not really noticeable when loaded up and driving along but at idle it's there, loud and clear.
I have reduced it somewhat by changing the G'box oil and adding a tube or Nulon G70. Infact it has made quite a noticeable difference to the rollover noise. It even seems slightly less viby to but i could be imagining that part.
