Depends what you use the ute for as to the disadvantages, I'm sure you aren't the only one on this forum with those wheels, either that or I've seen pics from one of the overseas forums.

I have alloy wheels on mine and no dramas. It would look a heap better with a set of our sliders on it as well. Lol

As long as they meet the load rating, alloys have a few advantages over steel but of course cost more.

well I'm getting rims and tires for a grand. Silverstone mt sports. There 285/75/16.
33 inch i think.
