Bottaro is at it again. I've no question about his ability to design a well laid-out van. Ours is very functional, it looks good - it just leaked, I had to remove the windows and reseal them. Trailing arm suspension with shocks + leaf springs made the van perform well behind the car on rougher roads and having the wheels towards the rear made reversing it into tight spots much easier.
The door was in a bad position though. They couldn't cover the entry door with the awning so if it was bucketing down, you'd get soaked trying to put the key in the lock. They also mounted the HWS up the front, I'd have preferred it to be closer to the kitchen/bathroom. Everything else about the van was good.
We were sitting looking at it in the driveway earlier today saying how sad it'll be to see her go, we have a LOT of fond memories with her. Hopefully someone'll get hold of her and have more fun.
We're going to take the new van out into the forest the first weekend we have her for a shakedown run and to make sure nothing goes wrong. I'll take some pics then, should be next weekend!
