Thanks for the info guys. Guess I'm saving for a Snorkel then. Is there any truth that the new model D22's have to have genuine snorkel attached. I have a 2010 model and the guys at my local 4wd store told me that the way nissan added the dual battery system in that it prevents aftermarket snorkels being attached.

Any Ideas?

Without modifications I think that's right, but I'm sure some people here have done it by adjusting/removing the precleaner. That might not be applicable on your exact model, but searching for that term might provide you with some more information. You may not be limited to "genuine only".

Different intake pipe for the dual battery models and genuine are the ones who do the different intake to suit it.
