well im home after another one of mattys great trips. quick summary of the trip was.
fri night at carters rd camp ground being told that we wouldnt get anywhere near bright as tracks were closed and impassible, few drinks, laughs, not bad fire.
sat:
i was in the second group wityh woody and scotty, we left camp at about 9:30 after quickly installing my new winch solenoid. couple stops with scottys car overheating and eventually found the problem to be a burnt out plug for one of the thermo fans and we were off again. stopped for lunch and watched a 80 series get towed in that had been rolled and suffered engine problems, after helping them out for 30 mins or so we left to go to craigs hut. the start of monument tk saw us driving in the snow and quickly got slippery, after allot of right foot and snow slinging we made it to the top to meet up with the other boys. scotty and woody decided to head back to camp one night and head home and matty (docp1980) heath (heata) darren (ridgie) and myself continued on to camp at pineapple flat. i refuse to mention the fire we had that night but it was cold and got down to -3 to -5 over night.
sunday: left camp early but to first find all our cars handbrakes were stuck on, bit of low range and some higher revs fixed that and off we went, traveled some great tracks stopped off and seen some great views and arrived in camp at about 3pm to setup camp start up an extremely warm fire, props go out to matty and daz for a great roast dinner, so good i chewed all the meat off the bone.
monday: once again we packed up early and were on our way, with some nice hills to finish off our trip and before we knew it we were in bright saying our good byes and homeward bound we went
