Unknown Pipe Coolant Pipe - 2007 Nissan Navara YD25

Hey there, I've finally put my 2007 Nissan Navara 2.5L Diesel Auto Spain engine back together. Near the driver's side wheel arch there is a pipe running down from the coolant system, there are no left over hoses anywhere and i'm not sure where it would run to anyway or as there are no other open pipe I'm aware of, any help would be awesome please. The pipe is the metal one on the left of the photos facing down with no hose attached. Thanks

Navaras share a fair amount of components with other models (gearboxes from Z series!) and the Pathy is almost identical up front to the Navara. Internally the Pathfinder will get more refinements (because utes are for farmers, right?) so they'll just do one manufacturing run for a certain part and simply not use its extra functionality/connections.
