Trick for draining coolant from block

Haha get a bit of 25x25 box and make a lever. Or just get a 1/2 inch female to 3/8inch male converter and use a big breaker bar

Was going to do that, but I have a 3/8" extension bar that's about 50cm long and it was still inside the wheel arch. Didn't fancy taking the wheel off and had a feeling I'd end up shearing the end of the extension bar by putting any more leverage on it... I'm pretty sure one of the heater lines has a connection bolted onto the block just above that drain bolt anyway which I ended up loosening to drain mine...

Pic doesn't really show where the drain plug is, might be the front of the engine down low.

its under the thermostat next to a pipe and hose that bolts on
