How many kms were on the motor and what year model was it?

Thanks pal.... 08 with 90,000 almost on the dot. I would expect it to last a lot longer than that.

What sort of noise is it exactly?? So i can keep an eye (or ear) out. Is it a different sound to the injectors. In a different position??

The timing chain typically produces a rotational 'scraping' noise when its excessively stretched, normally sounds like it is coming from the injection pump. This is due to excess contact with chain guides and even chain covers! Timing chain issues arise from excessive acidity in engine oil due to an agressive EGR duty cycle!! The ECM can be reprogged as a countermeasure to reduce/change EGR valve duty cycles and reduce acidity. This should ALWAYS be carried out with chain repairs.. :)
