Thermostat Location in STR ZD 3.0

Went looking for the thermostat under the top radiator hose, only undone two bolts and removed top housing - no thermostat, Where to now?

The thermostat on the ZD30 is behind the inlet pipe, look down at the inlet pit on the motor, the pipe starts out facing the front then does a u-turn facing back towards the radiator again, it is behind this piece of cast aluminium pipe. Also when refitting the new thermostat, place the jiggle valve at the top.
