After 2 months I thought it was time to add some pictures of the new car, plus the wish list has began.
Anyway... It a 2008 2.5lt STR. I purchased it through NissanHQ and there employee program meaning I was able to wipe a lot off the price. Further more I asked for a current employee to have the car for 10000k's/ 6 months which fuurther lowered the price of the car.
Having only picked up the car late January this year you might be wondering how I could wait nearly 2 years for delivery.
The car was built may '08 and wasn't shipped over to Melbourne from Japan till sept '08. From there it was not regestered until july '09 when a nissan employee's wife drove the car until January this year.
I initially called nissan to order back in august'09 so I waited for ever!!!
So far the its been excellant!!! Its exactly what I wanted!!! now all I have to do is save up for some extra goodies.
So far the car is standard with only a couple of extras from nissan:
- Tow bar (excluding tow ball)
- Genuine nissan moulded rubber floor mats
- Tonneau cover
These came with the car without me knowing and at no extra cost.
Items in the list to be added shortly are:
- ARB deluxe bull bar (colour coded)
- Nissan/Airtec snorkel
- Tow ball to add to the tow kit that didn't include the ball...
Wish list:
- Lightforce 170's ( if they fit in the pre drilled holes on the bar)
- GME 3340 UHF radio
- MSA seat covers front and rear
- ARB air compressor (mounted behind the rear seat)
- Custom storage unit behind rear seat... if it fits
