I remember seeing that on the news and the media bagged it out, carried on and got "official" comments from the CFA boss about what punishment the driver should get etc but the one thing that I've yet to see in explained is WHY?

Typical media. sensationlise before reporting fact, for all they knew at the time it could have been a necessary evil and had it not been done they wouldn't have done what needed too but they didn't report that. WIll be interested to see if anything official actually comes of the dunking.
