Had my 2014 STX550 for a few months. Anyone know what the funny shaped weights are that are mounted on the front and rear of the rear springs..Front looks like a steel hockey puck..rear weight is shaped like a circle that's pinched in the middle. I think they must me some sort of anti-vibration. Only seems to be on the STX550 as I have checked quite a few standard D40's in the shopping centre carpark and they done seem to have them.

I don't have one, but the manual calls the one that comes off at an angle from the spring pack a "spring dampener".

Maybe it's something to reduce axle tramp? The 550 has more kick than the 4-banger.
