my zd30 has been squeling through boost and my turbo blew, so ive just replaced my turbo with a brand new one and the same squeling noise is still there ?!
im worried that this turbo is going to blow ?

I would very thoroughly check the EGR pipe for any splits or tiny holes as that has been the cause of "squealing" noises in the past and seems to be pretty common.

I think if you have a read through the D22 section you will find quite a few others that have had that same thing happen.

Let us know how it goes.

As above, it could just be a boost leak. Check all the charge air hosing too (anything between the turbo and the intake manifold).

Have you installed an intercooler? Great insurance against broken chunks of turbocharger heading towards the intake manifold with a bonus of improving the engine's efficiency by a small amount.

Does sound like the symptoms of a charge (boost) air leak. As Tony mentioned give that side of things a good going over. Even things like a flexable join may have no obvious splits but may open up with 10PSI of boost pressure behind it.

haha was thinking that....
that isn't making much sense to me dude, not very mechanically skilled
just want to get rid of this squeling noise
should I just take it to a mechanic and get them to check for air leaks ?

What area you from Luke? I've got a pretty decent knowledge on the ZD30 motor I'll give it a look over if your local. Sounds like EGR check the welds. Also check all your hoses for splits. Boost leaks can sound like that too.

If you dont think you can open the bonnet and identify the EGR from looking at the photos in the link i posted, then checking it for splits or holes,, then YES go to a mechanic and ask them to check the EGR pipe and all the other turbo related hoses.

Mine did this for a while, thought it was turbo related but couldn't work it out, I found it in the end when it blew a hole in it. Ill take a photo of where it was coming from. Probably should of mentioned it was an egr pipe too.
