I put a scintex snorkel on my D22. Fits pretty well, construction is decent and imagine the d40 version would be about the same. Took me about 5 hours all up to install, but that was after realising my hole saw was shite. Realistically it should have taken about 2.5hrs max. I just had to stuff around too much.

There all mostly the same, I looked at a few and ended up getting one off ebay cheap. Just make sure you get silcone piping between snorkel and airbox and that its made out of the same material as the good ones.
