Thats more like a time I would expect, I wonder why the 80 to 100kph zone is so bad on some lightly modified d22s and not on others.

mine is faster accelerating in 5th than it is in 4th after 3000rpm.

Just a wild guess but maybe 5th gear is actually an overdrive gear? That would explain why its so gutless in 5th. The gear ratio is that high so that is conserves fuel. Just a thought i had probably wrong, but the minute i see a slight hill its back to 4th even before the 33's

Soon as I hit 80 I change to 5th gear, unless its coming up to a hill, then I keep it in fourth gear.

Yeh, I'm the same. Power trails off pretty quick after 3k. 1500-2500 is the sweet spot on my 3lt.

Was interesting watching those vids, always thought the 2.5 was slower than the 3 but it would cream mine, though watching a diesel rev to 5k makes me cringe. I think 15-20 secs would be the norm for a 3lt.

They are slower off the mark, like they bog down easier but then again the smaller engine can rev more easily, less internal resistance ect, the common rail injection probably helps a bit to.

I just got mine down to 22 seconds. I red lined every gear and held 4th gear until 100k. Beats my time earlier in the thread. Now I feel guilty cos I abused my nav

This is what a said two months go. Now with extra weight and looking to for 33's I'm chipping mine. Over takin requires almost redline. It's too much strain

Joffo81, its actually 10.5. Mate I would have no idea how to post a vid, I'm happy to put money on it. If your running anywhere near 25 secs your Nav is either too heavy with mods, muddies or it's a flogged out piece of shit

Boys I went and had a run and I'm quite happy. 0-100 in 13.5 and 0-120 in 19.8. I have the video, how do you upload? I reckon I could squeeze a little better if I didn't have to film myself. I think the reason a lot of people are running such slow times is excess weight??
