S2 panels fit on S1 D22?

Hi all,

I'm looking into painting my S1 D22 and was wondering if I could buy all the panels from a S2 D22 and bolt them on rather than painting as mine is pretty busted up.
Bonet, doors, 1/4's, headlights, grille, the hole lot, has this been done?

As long as your basic body structure is straight, I can't see why you couldn't do this, but unless you could buy a complete car as a donor at a good price, the exercise might get a bit expensive. It might be cheaper and easier to just buy a later model one in good cond and get rid of your old one.
Having said that, I'm probably speaking from the perspective of an older person (57) who has done a lot of mucking about with cars when I was younger( and had plenty of enthusiasm) but is getting a bit jaded now.
