Rear Demister auto on!

Hi all

New to the forum and fairly new to a 2010 D40 being a few months in.

Out of nowhere the rear demister has started coming on automatically every time I start. It will time off as normal and if I start and stop within the time period it may not come back on. I can turn it off but will still come back on when starting.

Anyone heard of this before? Is there a reset for any controller of this function.

Talk about something different. Of all the choices - auto headlights, wipers, darkening-mirrors, seat adjustment, instrument dimmer, turning lights - why on earth did Nissan choose the flaming rear window demister? Just to be different? Nissan, what is wrong with being NORMAL???

As for the answer, I've never heard of it before - so I don't know. There is a chance that it's in your owner's manual, but if you don't have that, maybe someone that does have it will go look it up and give us the answer.
