Qd32 Turbo (Injector Pump)

Gday all, brand new here. Something I should of signed up to a long time ago.

So I have a 1998 D22, after market turbo (DTS kit) pushing about 12psi. (Done by previous owner.

I'm about to put a bit of money into it as I love the car, and love the qd32 engine.

My biggest concern at the moment is the injector pump is leaking, and according to a trusted source, probably requires a rebuild $$$

Car is still running fine, but want to get it all nice.

The mech mentioned possibly getting another type of pump? One that could handle a turbo set up a bit better. But to be completely honest I don't know much about them. Heard a td27 pump will work?

Or is it just worth getting a recon stock pump and tuning to suit? Seems to run fine with it, besides the leak. 250,000 on the clock.

Trouble is...finding one

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. If ya need anymore info, just let me know.

i would recommend a pump rebuild. also ask the injection guys if they can fit a boost comp to it, or if you can find one that fits that pump.

`iv been told by a pump rebuilder in brissy its about $2300 to rebuild the stock pump and add a boost comp ontop.

Was definitely expecting at least 2k to rebuild the pump, so $2300 with a comp is music to my ears. Ill see what my local injector joint quotes. I'm in Adelaide.

Hi I recently bought a brand new long QD32 engine via Alibarba $3,600 landed in Adelaide, and also a new QD32 injection pump with comp $1,050.
Instaled, both seem good although i had to increase fuel settings on the pump. I have seen brand new QD32 pumps without comp advertised on Alibarba for around AUD $800. So far mine are fine but i dont think the warranty would be any good if problems arose.

Yeah nice, had a look on alibaba myself, and although very tempting, the warranty thing came into my head as well. Ill see what my local quotes, and I suppose there will at least be some kind of warranty. We'll see, it hurts to be spending on the car like this...but in turn it will be a nice rig once all done. On the site, looks like US $700 plus US $75 shipping. Mine came airmail in about a week.
I asked for the docket to show less than AUD $1,000 for total of product plus postage, I didnt feel as though i was being bad as it was only a couple of bucks over and i think there are complications over that price.Anyway It arrived with dock showing full price, if i can remember total including postage $1,050 and no extra hassels. Paid with PAYPAL , all very easy

Cheers dagwill. Im seriously considering this option.

Got a quote from 1 source today and im looking at around 2500 overhaul + comp installed. Comp alone was 500. Like...its not terrible and I get to keep my oem pump. But 1500 cheaper for a new pump is very tempting.
