Hi all, great site. I need some help can anyone tell me how I can fix a 6 disc cd changer in 07 navara it will take disc in and play them but will not eject them it just keeps clicking.Also could do with some help on how to remove unit from dash, it looks like whole part of dash needs to be removed. Would really be great full for some help.

Welcome to the forums. Sounds to me like the unit might be screwed. Pulling it apart it might turn out to be a simple spring or screw etc but it might not be the easiest to fix.
Search the D40 section for "dash removal" there is a thread for the 09's which I created. The one thing I'm not sure on is how different our Aussie models were to the Irish models. but the dashes haven't changed that much.

+1 for Krafty's advice. And instead of a 6-disc changer, consider a GPS-equipped head unit with an iPod port for sound. No moving parts and you'll have someone other than a passenger telling you where to go - bonus points if you can get one with a voice that you can actually understand!

My STX 2010 unit played up and I tried to see if I could fix it myself. Easy to get the dash off, there is another thread somewhere that has the details but basically remove the centre console and lower section of dash then the whole facia around the stereo comes off in one piece. Just undo the screws holding in the stereo but from memory there may be some spacer washers behind the brackets. Now that you have removed the factory stereo time to practice the hammer throw and toss it as far as you can. (really its a piece of crap) Good luck

Loving my 6 stacker unit in my new 2010 D22 STR, it seems to work really well and love the built in blutooth and aux inputs, ability to play MP3s and use it for hands free calls all from a factory unit. Fingers crossed it keeps performing as it has, think it's the only car I've owned where I don't want to install an aftermarket head unit.

Dermo i have the same issue, mine is just stuck on "press eject" on disc 5! I can still use it with the IPOD, FM, bluetooth etc. so all is not lost- but at worst id like to get the CD's out? I do love that 6 stackers steering wheel controls......60k/2yrs seems a bit soon to die

Make sure you have the radio security code disconnect the battery reconnect after you press the brake see if the radio resets if not it has broken the tracking belt that changes cd's better to replace the entire unit as said.
