Primer sucked closed?

Any one know why the primer is sucked flat on my 2007 D40.
Fuel is still getting through as the engine runs fine but can't be anything good. I'm guessing dirty tank and the pickup is all blocked up.

sounds like your on the right track.
not sure with D40 setup if primer is before/after the filter.
either filter itself or blockage in the tank or lines. check lines have not been hit and dented.

So my D40 has the filter/water seperator with the sensor and drain, I replaced this and the primer. It looks like the one that was on there was not stock and had just sucked clossd over time and formed that way, it stayed that shape when I pulled it off. I replaced it with another cheep one while I wait for the correct part. I had no issues priming it up after so these is no blockage.
