Chasing a noise in the front suspension on my falcon I have decided to do the bush's and ball joints, I'd prefer to do this job myself then pay someone else to do it.
I was thinking of making up a press frame and using a bottle jack I have, but I've seen 6 ton hydraulic presses for around $120, at that price I'm not sure if its worth my time running around getting the steel for the frame and press plates, welding it up etc.
So this brings me to the question, if I was to buy a press would the 6 ton press be enough to cover the jobs I'm likely to do at home? or would I be better off getting a 12 ton ($180) or 20 ton ($235).
Bare in mind it's just for my home garage and the original objective was keep the costs fairly low.
