Calling all Perth D40 owners - who do you trust with fault finding your Navara?
My 2010 Spanish built, 175,000 kms, has been giving me issues for about 4 months now - looping (drooping?) revs at idle on first start-up, sometimes stalling at idle. After a stall it will usually start up again after 5-10 seconds of cranking then behave like nothing happened. Once warm it seems to not have any issues.
Plugged in a handheld code reader, no codes
Yesterday it stalled while rolling in traffic when I depressed the clutch to shift down from 3rd (yikes) so time to take it to a specialist.
Have gone through the following fixes so far:
Replaced battery
Replaced SCV (not sure about the quality of the replacement part tbh)
Replaced fuel filter
Replaced air filter (the revs at idle improved after this)
Checked for vacuum leaks (probably not as thoroughly as I could have)
Check glow plug operation (all good)
Thanks in advance! Happy to pay for quality workmanship and good service, not keen on paying a technician to chase their tail for hours on end. Located Victoria Park so preferably local.
