As you can see it isnt as good as a job as what 4BYFOR did but hey it works lol. that bracket is on the guard as you can see in the picture on the right where the snorkel enters the engine bay. then I cut the original air box where the MAF sensor is and kept it standard from there onwards so it really wasn't a hole lot of mucking around. the hardest part was just making the bracket and the rest just fit together nicely

Just cottoned on to this thread and am thinking about doing the same sort of thing, Googled k & n apollo and got a US website with a kit to fit the Nav, did you get this kit? seems to bolt straight up? Also from the instructions of fitting the cone is yours ass about? In the PDF fitting instructions the smaller end of the cone goes to the snorkel....

Nope I just purchased the filter on its own mate, it should bolt up with minor modification.. Seems it comes with the MAF sensor plug in pipe which will save you from hacking at the factory airbox or buying separate peice for it. Not sure what your implying about having a cone and my ass being about lol sorry to dissapoint ya. As for the cone filter pointing toward the snorkel is correct.

No cones my side..... unfortunatly...lol, just going by your pic the cone was backwards is all.. Just need the ok from the minister of finance and shall be throwing one of these at mine too

Ok guys found out the the problem! The cone on he air pod filter came loose which left a 40mm hole in the top letting crap in which most likely busted up the compressor wheel.. I have silicone it in to make sure it won't come off again. So people be aware about this issue with the Apollo pod filter! Hope this helps others and don't end up with compressor blades damaged!!!

Ok guys updates! Fitted new turbo last night and put new oil and coolant this morning. It was still blowing white smoke! So I put it on the scan tool and found that my air flow meter or boost solinoide is farked. Narrowed it down the MAF sensor fails some times but I cleared all codes and now it's all sweet!! Still might get a new MAF soon anyway. As for the eBay turbo it's boosting 23psi and sounds really good much more responsive then the Garrett for some reason now lets see how long it will last! I just did all the wiring for the hella driving light that will go on the sports bars 4 all up they are smaller then I thought but I think they should put good light out of them.. I also replaced the shitty bling fog lights to genuine nissan which I picked up cheap so much better! As for black Betty she has had full major service from all I mean all new oils and fluids from brakes to power steering so shit better not be going bad for a long time now. Fingers crossed.

Hey guys did some new mods on the Nav last weekend here is a few pics of the roof lights!!
They are hella FF75's and I must say they are really bright and awesome for small driving lights I'm very impressed also impressed that they only cost me $160 for all 4 plus about $70 extra for the relay and wiring..

And on another note I also fitted my new gauges boost and egt but the egt is not yet connected I need to buy a thread maker for when I drill the hole in the dump pipe because I really can't be stuffed taking the manifold off.. Here is a pic of them turned on they go smoke black when turned off. For cheapies they are really quite accurate the boost gauge is spot on against the auto meter I had in before.

Yeh it's not perfect, if I could find a replacement insert with the gauge holders it would be great but I can't find anything yet.. I would like to see yours got any pics ?

Ha now I know why you said that I just read a thread on it! Seems like the VY gauge pods I will be buying after Easter! Mission accepted.

essentially there is 2 types to choose from,

the pop up pod or the contoured one

i chose the later
