G'day
Watched an ABC show that talked about the service interval differences
with Mazda in the UK and thought I would check on the D40 out of interest.
Australia
Mine is a 2012 so the interval is 6 months or 10,000 kms with the capped
servicing at Nissan assuming you do 20,000kms per year would cost $2800
over three years. ($262+$422+$262+$1174+$262+$422)
UK
Service interval is 12 months or 12,500miles (20,000kms)
Their cap priced servicing would cost about $1086 over the same period at today's exchange rate with the servicing costing;
$223 for 1st service
$363 for the 2nd service
$500 for the 3rd service
As I pondered the difference in price I imagined Nissan explaining that they don't have "Aussie Conditions" in sunny England so I checked South Africa. There was no pricing that I could see but the service intervals are 12 months or 15,000kms.
Am I missing something, maybe Parramatta Rd is worse than anything overseas
I can justify the price differences to some extent but difference in service intervals, in particular "time" seems crazy.
