A long weekend could be arranged for some people I guess, I actually finish work on the Wednesday so heading up on Friday would be no problem for me, but I know not everyone would be able.
There was some talk about the barrington tops and findin a nice river/creek for swimming in for the kids incase it's hot. Not sure wont the swimming is like at the dam?
So let me hear it Nundle? or Barrington's?
Either way we're goin to have to do some reach on track before we go. Find some good ones.

Chaffey dam wasn't actually the dam we where thinking of, it's a small one up near hanging rock, but chaffey dam might be better.

nundle is surrounded by state forests ,so dogs should be ok
as long as they are well behaved as kids will be coming
we will bring our pup

If memory serves, dogs are allowed at Sheba Dam as long as they remain on a leash at all times (and the leash is attached to something stationary, or in someone's hand). I had to add that last bit - some asshole let his shepherd loose in Telegherry "it's still on its leash so f*ck you I hope it bites you". Shame I didn't have my M82A3 back then.

Not long now peeps. Think we'll go with Sheba dam at the moment, didn't get a chance too get up there for a scout around. Maybe next Sunday if I get a chance.
For the poeple that wanted to leave Friday can you let us know plz. Work out times and meetin places.
My new Nav is still goin to be pretty much stock for this weekend, so I won't be the crazy one out the front this time.

We'll go up on Friday arvo. Probably take us 5 hours to get there, if I recall, so we should probably aim to leave around midday-1pm so that we can get there and cook dinner before it gets dark.

The tracks we go through are NSW State Forest trails - usually there's no restriction on dogs there. Dogs are allowed at Sheba Dam and I suspect the usual rule about keeping them on a leash would apply.
