nissan snorkel

hi i am about fit a nissan snorkel to my d22 can any one tell me the cut out hole size and do i have to remove the air cyclone that is in front of the air filter .has any one noticed a increase in performance with one fitted. cheers pappy

From memory its either a 76mm or 96mm.

My cyclone box is still there and from what I have been told the guys who have removed it get alot more crap in there air filter.

I have one on my D40, I have never been able to notice an increase in performance on this car or my old hilux but some claim they can.

The main thing I noticed was that it made the engine more responsive, especially with the air con on.

It wasn't as jerky as it was.

cyclone i assume is the front pre filter? towards the front of the car?

if so it is metal.

D21 is metal also. Never had it out, at a guess it's heavy for what it does.
