G'day All,

Just thought I'd say G'day and add a brief intro ...

I recently bought a 1989 Navara Dual Cab Pickup (2.4l Petrol + Auto) as a run-around to get to and from work and was trawling the net for some info and happened upon this site. I am planning on doing a service and tune-up on the ol' Pickup this weekend and I hope to find some spec's that will guide me.

On a personal note, I'm a middle-aged engineer, living in the foothills north-west of Windsor/Richmond and try to spend my free time tinkering with old stuff; i.e. hot rods, clinker speed boats, etc.

Cheers,

Pete

Welcome Pete.

The wallet must be copping a hiding running the Z24 and auto.

Actually, it's getting some relief compared to a 350cid Small Block/Glide with Stall Converter/GMH One Tonner Diff combination (check my Avatar)!

That said, I do take your point Dave and it would be a lot better with a 5-speed manual.

Cheers, Pete

If your use to a 350 then the Z24 wouldn't be that bad.

Whats the car in the Avatar ?

Kindas looks like a Bedford.

Dave.

Welcome mate, got any pics of your other projects?

G'day Matt,

Pictures of rusty bits of vintage tin probably aren't of much interest to members of this forum but, if I am allowed to indulge myself, attached are a couple of pictures of 44 year-old speedboat

Cheers, Pete

Sorry mate.

There is a 1954 Bedford old fruit truck in my Nans shed thats been sitting there for close to 30 years now.

Kinda reminded me of that, If I had the time and cash to burn Id be dropping a 6BT Cummins in it. Make it go abit better then the old 3L inline 6 petrol.

Dave.
