Happy New Year just bought myself a 2010 Nav ST T/D Auto D/C, desert sand in colour. Moved from a 02 Rodeo, petrol auto. Couldn't be happier with the transition.

Just concerned with the DPF, hopefully with regular oil changes, clean fuel and regen's, all should be good.

Have been reading through the forum and there is a wealth of knowledge and great fella's.

2010 model shouldn't have the DPF I dont think.

Enjoy the site and good luck with the 40.

Dave.

Welcome to the site.

I'm fairly sure recent chatter worked out that it was only models made in a specific country in the '10 range that had the DPF, I think that was Spain built too. Either way the DPF isn't something to be scared of, its a viable and practical part used in many diesel engines and Nissan didn't just install it to make Nav's **** themselves, have less power or use more fuel.

Cheers

It does have the DPF, I checked the other day.

I agree with your statement Krafty, in regards about Nissan. It is Thai built.

I have been driving Nissans for years and are very reliable if maintained properly.

Well there ya go, I thought it was decided that the Thai's didn't have them, maybe it was only the KC's or something I don't really remember but either way I wont dispute you.

In reality there is very few of us Nav drivers on here (and we still only make up a small number of those Nav's actually sold) that have had problems, bad news does tend to travel faster and louder than good news but every manufacturer has made lemons before and will again. I've never had a problem with Nissan just Nissan dealers and salesmen. But then it's that sort of job they are in, today's Nissan salesman is tomorrows Holden salesmen it doesn't take any manufacturer specific knowledge to sell a car.
