Hi I stumbled on this site researching a replacement for my 80 series LC. I need a work vehicle that I can squeeze my wife and two children into and the d22 looks like great value. This site has some great info and pics and has really helped my decision. So tomorrow I'm of to battle the dealers for a good trade in and hopefully some bonus extras. Should be fun in 43 degree heat.

Welcome to the forum mate. Try and pick yourself up a new D22, they are a bargain at $30,000 brand new

Welcome to the forums, do your self an early favour and if your kids are of an age that need child restraints realise that the D22 doesn't come with child restraints fitted and they cost about $200 to fit, so many others have failed to realise that before they have purchased a D22 (or the cheaper D40's for that matter).

Thanks Krafty. My 3 year old needs a child restraint. I think even a 7 yo need a seat these days. I Got only $5700 trade in quote for 80 series. So I'm going to try a different dealer today. Hopefully I can get a 2011 plated one.

Do a search on here for Child restraints (the topic has come up once or twice), I don't remember which thread it was but weed through the complaints about Nissan not fitting a restraint and you should find a few fitters which will do the fitting and it should come out a lot cheaper than Nissan. Not sure if any were in your area but it's worth a look, if not most mechanics that claim to be approved child seat fitters should do the job.
