New STX 550 spotlights

I helped fit a set of lightforce halogen genesis lights to a friends brand new V6 diesel NAVARA using the lightforce harness and picking up the HiBeam wire of the right hand headlight and it keeps blowing the hi beam 10 amp fuse for the right headlight and we have double checked all the wiring and we are stumped.
Would the 10amp hi beam fuse be to weak for the relay? Or could there be a fault maybe with the lightforce harness?

if your only using it to rigger the relay it should be fine but normally its about 15A circuit.

the lightforce genesis have weird wiring colors
double check the polarity is right as a mate just had similar problem with genesis lights

For what it's worth because I hate finding posts like this with no answer:

I had a very similar sounding problem when wiring some Lightforce Striker 170 HID spotlights using the Lightforce harness into my 550. Switching the spotlight on blew the fuse for the high beam light that the harness was taking the pickoff signal from.

Found the fault was with the relay. Got a new one supplied by Lightforce and it all works fine now.
