New Navara owner... On saturday i hope

Hi everyone, very excited to own my first Navara (and 4x4)
As ive never joined a forum before I just wanted to find out whether all the things i have googled about D40 Diesels were true about timing chains, clutches gearboxes and everything else ive heard, I am hoping these things a few and far between as Ive never bought a new car before and have never spent nowhere near as much money on a car either.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to the Forums Fruge. I have no doubt what you read on the internet is true (everything on the internet is true) but you do have to remember that bad news travels faster than good news and that a few bad stories while still true can quickly get a following while the good stories don't often get told.

Have a look around the D40 section (use the search function for specific words if needed) and you'll see there is a mix of good and bad here but I think the majority is fairly good.
