Heres some pics of my new home made cargo drawers.

I've made 4 sets for my previous cars and these are by far the simplest and cheapest. All up $300.

Instead of slides or runners I have used laminex on the underside of the drawer and also the frame. It was a substantial saving over runners and they slide freely.
Also the fridge slide is a drawer and you dont have to reach into the rear of the ute to access it.

Hopefully some of my ideas will assist in somebodies design.

Nice job, and after checking out the prebuilt jobs by the manufacturers, I can see why you would try to do it yourself.

And thats what I'm going to do, especially as Mrs Ray keeps complaining that all the shopping that keeps sliding around in the tub on the way back from the shops.

This link, (its a Prado site, but the info is GOLD) goes for 22 pages but shows how simple and pro looking your own job can be. pradopoint.com - Toyota Prado 4x4 Landcruiser Forum • View topic - Home made drawers under $110. Basic measurments added

Time to start on the measurements...............

Is that just a standard battery box without the lid? Im going to install mine there, sorry for the derail, cheers!

They look great. I can't see the laminex you mention, did you fully sheet both surfaces? or just put some strips? Also what is at the cab end of the fridge slide side , it doesn't go full length does it?

hi mate i was just wondering how you got the power to the tub and if you got it professionally done how much did it cost? cheers
