Navman My Escape II

Hi All
Just bought the missus a Navman My Escape II sat nav. It has a version of Hema Maps in it as well. Has anyone tried one of these's or similar models offroad.? Interested to know how they compare to a real Hema Navigator.

We had one, failed big time going through melbourne, phoned a friend down there for directions and threw it out the window.The hema maps are very basic,

Tried over the long weekend. Only basic map between Howqua and Sheep Yard Flats. Mud Maps HD on the iPad had a lot more detail.

Wouldnt waste my money again on a my escape II..from sydney to hunter a drive i do every couple of months ill use it to check speed..use to freeze atleast 4 or 5 times..plus all the other drives longer than 20 minutes it would freeze atleast once..got a refund and brought a my escape III and wow!!! Big change
