Thanks again. The advice is coming thick and fast, and is much appreciated. Compared to my old Magna, the D22 seats are sensational, but not in the class of my Fairlane Ghia, which is obvious.

As for finance, I have to sit down with the finance bloke next week and double check all the nasties, if any, in the contract.

Finance is one of my pet hates about buying cars, make sure you look at the extra charges per month, like I went with Suncorp for my new hilux even though the interest is 8% it will save me thousands I would of had to pay with toyota finance.

Watch out for balloon payments
Try to negotiate service costs
And dont waste your money on paint/fabric protection
Even dealer window tint costs are a joke

toyota wanted $300 to tint just the front windows on mine I laughed and said I can get the whole car done for that.

paint protection was like $1200, the girl wasn't to impressed when I said it was just expensive wax haha.

The last two cars I've bought I just said don't bother sending your paint protect women they really don't like it when you refer to it as snake oil. When I bought my kluger she almost begged me to buy her wax and tint, she got the hint when I offered her $1 for it. Hahaha Ben.

yeah the extras the secretary tries to sell you have a HUGE markup and really are crap products
thats there xmas party money

my brother used to work for a company that applies the paint protection and window tinting in newcastle area for most major dealers
he said the cost to apply paint protection to an average car was about $30 material,plus labour
and window tint on 4 windows uses about $50 worth of tint
and even though he could get it for free he refused to use it on any of his cars

My mate got his brand new patrol paint protected when we bought ours. First time in mud it stained the paint and couldn't buff it off due to the paint protection so it had to get a full re spray. 3 weeks old. I didn't bother with it and mine hosed straight off. White of all colours to so the stains stood out like dog s#!t. Literally
