Making sand driving easier,
Why not just run 2wd if its that easy? There are times in soft sand where it'll bog right down. You argument is invalid.
Making sand driving easier,
No argument!You argument is invalid.
Well, you don't really take your time in mud? Momentum is your friend in mud and if you're locked and bump any hidden rocks there is the chance of smashing cvs.
no, you don't only lock 1 hub because if you did with an open centre diff you would not have any drive at all, it would just spin the side that's not locked. so, in that case you still only have a 2wd...

unlock 1 hub and it's 3wd. the side that's locked will still always have drive as long as the transfer case is in 4wd, that's the idea behind a lokka. then if you do get stuck / bogged down too much, just lock the other side in again and you are back to 4wd...
I understand what you're saying. But a vehicle in 3wd is not as efficient as a vehicle in 4 wheel even without a locker!
Otherwise they would make all of them 3wd. Why don't you lock just one hub every time you go out? Because its ****ing stupid

If you read through that you will see what the responses were for, maybe I should quote the post I am referring to from now on...Is this true? I've heard that if you lock one hub with the lokka, then u will maintain 3 wheel drive.
What is correct? Will we have drive to that wheel or none?
All I can say is if I had a lokka in mine today then I wouldn't have broken the FARKER because the wheel with all the weight on it would have still been driving instead of the farker that took a little air time! Thank GOD for Nissan LSD because I was only half way up a track and a half with only my Daughter with me. In any form a diff lock is better than none IMHO!!!!
Cheers Brad
Well said! I was only referring to drivin in mud.
I'm just a little bit pissed, and pissed off ATM, because I know it would have cost me less to have installed the LOKKA in the first place. Initially I thought it might have been a hub because both CV's are intact. Checked the left hub because that's where the clunking feels to be coming from, all good there, DIFF??
So was it your diff?
